Getting Our People Home Safely Everyday
Our integrated management system, policies and procedures detail what we do and how we do it safely.
We work hard to ensure and are proud of our safety record as we have not had an LTIFR (Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate) or RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations) for over a decade.
SMS understand the value in recording, analysing and acting on trends for all lower-level reporting such as close calls, safety conversations and incidents.
Our managers, supervisors and HSQE team undertake regular weekly site inspections and results are logged into our system for actions and briefings.
Site managers are SMSTS trained and supervisors are SSSTS trained. Supervisors are responsible for carrying out daily site inspections, shift start briefings, toolbox talks and safety stand downs.
Information sharing is critical, and SMS are not too proud to learn from others lessons and are more than happy to enable others to learn from ours, up and down our supply chain.
