About us

SMS have been operating in our specialised field since April 1978 offering our clients a variety of services for anti-corrosion preparation and finishes, either at the clients’ specified sites or in our own workshop facilities. Over the years we have added many more skills to the services we offer.

Our quality management system has been assessed to both ISO 9001 and National Highway Sector Scheme 19A and our environmental management system has been assessed to ISO 14001.

We are based in Kent but we are serving a wide area including London, the South East and the South West. Our objectives include completing work to programme, to budget and in accordance with the agreed requirements and contract specification.

We operate an ongoing training programme for all our employees, ensuring good business practices and safety are of paramount importance at all times. Only employees qualified to carry out specific procedures are employed in those areas and all have current certificates for each procedure. Our employees are issued with a variety of quality safety and protective equipment depending on the procedures they undertake.

We take responsibility for the effect our operations may have on the environment and take all practicable steps to eradicate or minimise any adverse effects. SMS do not compromise on quality or safety.
