ATC works involved a multi-disciplinary team of steel works, scaffolding, waterproofing, preparation and coating of a Crossrail bridge. These works were delivered as part of one of the Crossrail’s consortium based works.
Dover Priory Station works surround the complete refurbishment of the station canopies, footbridges and lift shafts. SMS are undertaking the preparation and coating of all steel work, wood and concrete elements.
Gade Valley Viaduct (GVV) is just over a third of a mile long and is supported by 8 box sections of 2sq/m all of which run its full length.
The viaduct is in its second phase of life extending work and SMS have been contracted to support these works over the next 26 months.
As can be imagined by a structure of that size, SMS have had to provide a large resident team to support these works. The team will be blasting, and coating over 10,000 meters over the next two years to support these vital strengthening works.
White Hart Bridge works involved a multi-disciplinary team of steel works, scaffolding, waterproofing, preparation and coating of a Crossrail bridge. These works were delivered as part of one of the Crossrail’s consortium based works.
Ispden is a Southern Gas Networks site at which we are preparing and coating all existing gas pipes whilst out of service. The works are undertaken directly for the customer.

The work was completed in accordance with SGN PA 99 and PA10 specification and supervised in accordance with SCO 1&2 trained supervisor.
Ealing Common Depot works comprised the preparation and coating of new and existing underground train maintenance roads. The works were undertaken directly with London Underground/ TfL.
SMS are contracted to blast and coat all the existing roads, pits and walkways along with three new ones ready for the depot commissioning. The works require both a flexible and innovative approach as the company is working alongside other contractors in what is still an operational depot.
Sequencing is crucial, as the timing of the preparation and coating must be in line with the coating manufacturers specifications in order to maximize its lifespan.
