Robert Faux
Managing Director

Rob is the Managing Director of the Company, assuming responsibility for all operational and business matters. Safety is one of his key drivers and as such he is responsible for all health and safety matters within the Company.

A recent addition to the Company, Rob has significant construction experience across a range of sectors and has worked on major projects such as HS2 in both civil and rail capacities.

Rob brings senior management experience in challenging construction and manufacturing environments, where he has shown that his leadership, team building and motivational skills can deliver changes in performance.

He also has many years’ experience of managing services within the infrastructure sector, particularly for London Underground and Network Rail.

To supplement his experience, Rob has successfully completed a number of training courses such as Project Management via APMP, Site Safety Management (SMSTS), NEC Contract Management, Six Sigma blackbelt.

Glenn Weller
Contracts Estimator

Glenn is our contracts estimator and has been with the Company since 1987, becoming an assistant manager in 1990 and joining the senior management team in 1999.

He also has extensive experience in protective treatments, particularly to railway bridges, viaducts, parapets and tunnels.

Glenn also has many years experience of managing services to the utility and rail industries (in particular Network Rail).

He has undertaken a variety of training enabling him to gain expertise in our operations, including various client inductions, Sentinel PTS, AC and DCCR, CSCS, FORS, enviromental awareness, monitoring, signing, lighting and guarding C&G and site management safety training.

Jane Radford
HSQE Systems Manager

Jane is our HSQE systems manager, internal auditor and IOSH manager and has been with the Company since 2006, joining the management team in 2011. She has extensive experience in corporate administration and has undertaken a variety of training including internal QMS auditor, IOSH managing safety, IT2 presentations, Associate, Practitioner Member of IEMA and Train the painter.

Jane writes and maintains our policies, procedures and management systems (quality, environmental, health and safety and FORS) ensuring compliance with the relevant standards.

She is also responsible fir ensuring compliance with our RISQS, UVDB, FORS, Constructionline, Acclaim, Builders profile accreditations and for preparation of COSHH and risk assessments, regulatory and aspects and impacts register

Jade Graham
Administrator

Jade recently joined the Company as our administrator.  She has several years experience in administrative roles within various industries, including Highways and is qualified in H&S for the office environment.

Jade will ensure the delivery of various controlled records within our integrated management system (IMS), in particular with regard t oquality, enviroment, health and safety and FORS. She supports our managers in many areas, with emphasis on IMS requirements.

Jade has also undertaken the recent task of purchasing and hiring for the company and will continue to do this in future.

Alex Wetherill
Project Manager

Alex joined the Company as an administrator and has developed her role to the extent she recently became promoted to project manager.

She will be managing our proposed powder coating facility when it opens in 2020.

She has a variety of experience as a secretary, administrator and legal secretary and has undertaken training as an ILEX legal secretary diploma and in secretarial administration.

Faye Kingsman
Finance Officer

She has an accounting background with experience of payroll and has achieved her AAT level 2 certificate in accounting.

Faye’s duties include management of Sage 50 Cloud accounts, payroll, pensions administration and managing suppliers payments.

Mandy Williams
HSQE Coordinator

Mandy joined SMS recently as our HSQE coordinator.  She has many years’ experience in various H&S roles as a consultant, compliance coordinator, officer and administrator.

Mandy brings a wealth of H&S knowledge to SMS, including qualifications in CDM Regulations 2015, manual handling, risk & regulation, whistleblowing, fire marshal & fire safety management/risk assessment, health & wellbeing at work, fire safety management, IOSH, controlling workplace hazards, H&S practical application and GDPR.
